New from Aramus Recordings:  Iranian composer Alirehza Mahsayehki’s expressive “Variant, Opus 139 no. 3” virtuosically performed by cellist John (JW) Turner.

Aramus.org sponsors the Borderlands International Music Festival, celebrating diversity of cultures through the international language of music. Concerts will feature collaborations between musicians from the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Cellist John Haines-Eitzen’s 2018 Aramus album entitled “Spanish and Italian Music for solo cello”  has been awarded a Gold Medal in the 2018 Global Music Awards.  The album features rarely heard baroque, classical, and early 20th century works for solo cello by Albéniz, Boccherini, Cassadó, dall’Abaco, Scipriani, and the traditional Catalan carol “Song of the Birds.”

Matthew Bengtson and Lincoln Ballard recently published “The Scriabin Companion” with renowned Scriabin expert John Bell Young.
